Timbali explores the symbiotic relationship between the natural world and the human psyche. Inspired by Swiss psychiatrist Hermann Rorschach’s inkblot tests, this photographic series captures intricate floral and botanical patterns, drawing parallels between their organic symmetry and the complexity of human emotion. Each image invites introspection, mirroring the subconscious and prompting contemplation of nature’s psychedelic healing properties.
In an era where digital and technological advancements shape human experiences, Timbali questions how we use these tools to reconnect with indigenous knowledge systems. Can digital media evolve artistic expression while maintaining sensitivity to the natural world? This work emerges from that inquiry, offering a distinctly African perspective on the fusion of nature and technology.
It challenges the notion that progress requires detachment from the environment, instead proposing that our relationship with nature is permanent, deeply embedded in birth, life and death, even as we construct new worlds and identities.

God’s architecture reveals itself in the details of the universe, where science meets the divine and beauty is the language of the soul.
